The First Year of Motherhood

Getting ready for my baby’s 1st birthday and it really is true what they say: The days are long, but the year was short.

Reflecting on the most beautiful and challenging year of my life: The year I became a mom with a baby in my arms. I remember talking to so many moms, the first few weeks with a newborn, asking how they survived on such little sleep. I had no idea what I was doing.

God shows you how strong you are when you become a mother. Some days you feel you’ve got it down and others you’re desperate for some rest. Motherhood forces you to slow down and pivot often.

This journey has softened me in ways & strengthened me in others. My priorities have shifted and my purpose is clear.

Motherhood has also shown me so much about our Father. It hurts to think of how much I love my son, and knowing Jesus loves us infinitely more? What a revelation.
