Amazon Sustainable Landscapes Brazil - Meet ASL Brasil

The Amazon Sustainable Landscapes (ASL Brazil) invests $ 60 million in Brazil in a task force for conservation in Amazon.

To achieve its goals, the initiative in Brazil supports and engages the implementation of conservative public policies and sustainable use of land in tropical forests from states Acre, Amazonas, Pará, and Rondônia. When implemented efficiently, these instruments preserve public and private ecological relevant areas. The project also encourages local governments to maintain environmental services already provided by nature. All activities aim to avoid 140 million tons of CO2 emissions by 2030, and benefit 17,000 families directly.
