Various shots inside Westminster Abbey as we see members of the royal family taking their places. Princess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret with Princess Mary (Princess Royal), Queen Mary. Queen Elizabeth (formerly Duchess of York, later Queen Mother) and procession moves slowly up the nave. Choir of Westminster School sing. Queen Elizabeth takes her place. Procession of King George VI (former Duke of York, Prince Albert) moves through the Abbey and the King takes his place. Archbishop of Canterbury introduces the King (natural sound) and asks those present whether they recognise their King and they shout out "God Save King George".

King goes to Chair of the State to take the oath. Archbishop asks the King if he will solemnly promise to govern Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the union of South Africa, the Empire of India. The King answers he will. King signs the oath. The King takes off his robes before being anointed with holy oil beneath a golden canopy. The King puts on a robe of golden fabric. Lord Chamberlain touches the King's heels with the golden spurs of knighthood. Archbishop brings jewelled sword of state from the altar and hands it to the King. The King then offers it back to the Archbishop. Collar and mantle of cloth of gold are placed on the King by the Dean of Westminster. Orb is handed to the King. Ring, glove, sceptres with cross and dove are handed to King. Dean of Westminster carries the crown on a cushion; Archbishop places the crown on the King's head. The congregation shout "God Save The King" three times. King takes his place for the Homage. Peers of the Realm approach the King one by one, kneel, then touch his crown and kiss his left cheek.

Queen Elizabeth moves forward for her anointing and to receive the ring. Archbishop puts the crown on the Queen's head and gives her the sceptre and ivory rod. The Queen moves over to bow to the King then sits on a throne beside him. King and Queen move off with procession through the nave to leave the Abbey. 'God Save The King' is heard. Continued.
