On September the 23rd of 2017, fifteen people dressed up as the famed fast food mascot Ronald McDonald and marched into a Burger King in Minehead, Somerset, a coastal town roughly 165 miles west of London. As shown in cell phone footage, the mob of Ronald McDonalds started chanting profane - but playful - taunts at Burger King employees. Bystanders seemed to revel in the hilarious display of showmanship between the rival fast food behemoths. Subsequent reports revealed that the group of red and yellow-clad clowns were something of a local staple. They were known to dress up as Ronald McDonald every year as part of an ‘80s weekend. An eyewitness stated that, after chanting at Burger King workers for about 5 minutes, the McDonald’s loyalists shook hands with the employees and left the restaurant.
