Ahead of the assembly elections, the state government has made a big announcement. It has been announced to waive toll at all five toll booths in Mumbai. This toll waiver will be for light vehicles. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting today. Mumbaikars will get a big relief due to this decision. This decision will be implemented from twelve o'clock tonight. Mumbai has five entry and exit points. There are toll booths at Mulund, Airoli, Vashi, Anandnagar, Dahisar. For the past many years, there has been a demand for toll waiver in Mumbai. Due to toll collection at these toll booths there is traffic jam. Giving toll exemption to light vehicles with white number plates will bring a big relief to Mumbaikars and Thanekars.

ऐन विधानसभा निवडणुकीच्या तोंडावर राज्य सरकारने मोठी घोषणा केली आहे. मुंबईतील पाचही टोल नाक्यांवर टोल माफ करण्याची घोषणा केली आहे. ही टोलमाफी हलक्या वाहनांसाठी असणार आहे. आज मंत्रिमंडळाच्या बैठकीत हा निर्णय घेण्यात आला. या निर्णयामुळे मुंबईकरांना मोठा दिलासा मिळणार आहे. आज रात्री बारा वाजल्यापासून या निर्णयाची अंमलबजावणी होणार आहे. मुंबईत प्रवेश करण्यासाठी आणि बाहेर जाण्यासाठी पाच पॉईंट आहेत. मुलुंड, ऐरोली, वाशी, आनंदनगर, दहिसर या ठिकाणी टोलनाके आहेत. मागील अनेक वर्षांपासून मुंबईतील टोलमाफी देण्याची मागणी करण्यात येत आहे. या टोलनाक्यांवर टोल वसुलीमुळे वाहतूक कोंडी होत असते. व्हाईट नंबर प्लेट असलेल्या हलक्या वाहनांना टोलमाफी दिल्याने मुंबईकरांना आणि ठाणेकरांना मोठा दिलासा मिळणार आहे.
