St. Mary's hitching
In this tutorial we do the St. Mary's hitching, also known as St. Mary's coxcombing. It is a technique resembling a spiral hitch, but done with several strands at once. With this, a multi-color effect can be achieved.
This technique is appropriate for decorating various handles, as well as many other decorative purposes, especially on ships where it was traditionally used.
