Straight Pool – Germany’s Ralf Souquet, “The Keiser”, 31, at the 2000 U.S. Open Straight Pool Championships was up against a fierce Texan in Dick Lane. Souquet just won the Charlotte 10-Ball Open and was a former World Pool Masters champion. Dick Lane, an established straight pool player, with a high run of 324 balls, was a former U.S. Open 14.1 runner-up.
