A Day In The Life Of A Fire Lookout Volunteer | Black Mountain Fire Lookout Tower

Black mountain fire lookout tower is in the San Bernardino National Forest and sits at an elevation of 7,772'. The nearest town is Idyllwild.

On a clear day you can see the Pacific ocean, as well as Mt. Palomar, Saddleback, Mt. Baldy, San Gorgonio, & San Jacinto. The Fuller Ridge is also in plain view, and the PCT crosses right along that trail.

The views from the top are awesome and i'm lucky enough to call this my home tower.
