24-year-old found shot in east Macon, sheriff's office says
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened on the 4th of July in east Macon, according to a release.
The sheriff's office said that, around 11:30 p.m. on Independence Day, they received a call about an aggravated assault within the 1100 block of Sparkle Avenue.
The release said that when deputies arrived, they found a 24-year-old man shot. The man, according to the release, was rushed to a local hospital and is in critical, but stable condition.
The sheriff's office said the shooting is still under investigation and any further information will be sent out when it's available.
