Boston Drive: South Boston

On a Tuesday afternoon, I take a tour of South Boston, aka Southie. South Boston is home to one of the city's best parks - Castle Island. The views here of the harbor, downtown and airport are spectacular. (Side note: a scene in the movie 'The Town' where the bank manager is forced to walk blindfolded toward the water was filmed here.)

I drive down some of the neighborhood's main streets - L Street, Broadway and Day Blvd. The three story houses that are so common here are often called 'triple deckers'.
