iOS 18 Call Recording Sounds

I also thought I should upload these while I’m at it. When I uploaded that last greeting that I still had left, I realized I had recorded and captured the thing that made it possible as well. The way I was able to record all of those greetings in the best quality possible was because Apple has now made it simple and easy Within the call menu to record regular and FaceTime audio phone calls. I don’t know about regular FaceTime calls there might be a feature for that coming later and I know there’s ways to capture FaceTime calls because people have been doing it here on YouTube for a long time. Anyway, not in the first version, but in one of the the later versions of iOS 18 that got rolled out in mid November, Apple introduced the ability to be able to record phone calls. The first part that you hear in this video, the pinging that counts down Before the Siri voice says this call will be recorded the person on the other end doesn’t hear that part. They do hear the voice though and the beep that comes after. A little bar pops up up above the call options like the speakerphone, FaceTime, and microphone button Which shows how much time you’ve been recording for. Actually, maybe I’ll upload a short showing it later because the way I was able to get these in the first place was because somehow even though it’s a piece of audio that it puts through to the other end of the call, I was able to capture it on screen recording but other sounds that happen when you press buttons in a call don’t get captured for some reason. So it doesn’t really make much sense to me, but I’m glad I was able to get these captured and I may upload a short later like I said actually showing me pressing it so you can see it. I just didn’t wanna upload a screen capture with somebody’s name and picture on the call menu where it could be seen. But I have a number that I can do it with. I can do it with my voicemail box. My friend was accidentally turning this on and off which I I’ve done as well. We were talking about how it does have its problems, especially when people were first finding out about it, but just know that it is something you can disable in settings. But when you first get the version of iOS 18 that it has if anyone doesn’t have it yet it’ll be turned on or when you first get your iPhone. So it comes turned on you just have to turn it off. Also, as we know, the beep that you hear in this is the same beep that it uses for the new voicemail call screening feature where it intercepts the call and picks up before the regular carrier voicemail. And as we all know now whenever you call someone with an iPhone, whatever voice they have set for Siri is the one you hear on their voicemail. If it’s a default greeting. But what also doesn’t make a whole lotta sense is that I have the Irish voice set for my Siri it only uses a few of the Siri voices for the call recording thing which is pretty weird. So certain voices if you have them for Siri won’t change the voice prompt. This isn’t the only one that you hear in this video that it uses. I think it also uses the white male voice, the white female voice I don’t know what all it uses, but I knowit doesn’t use all the voices for the voice prompt.
