As of 2025, the salary structure for the Branch Postmaster (BPM) position under the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) framework in India is as follows:

Basic Pay: The starting basic pay for a BPM is ₹12,000 per month.

Time-Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA): This allowance is provided to BPMs, with the minimum TRCA for 4 hours/Level 1 set at ₹12,000 per month and the maximum at ₹29,380 per month. For 5 hours/Level 2, the TRCA ranges from ₹14,500 to ₹35,480 per month.

Dearness Allowance (DA): BPMs receive a DA, which is subject to periodic revisions by the central government.

Annual Increment: BPMs are eligible for an annual increment of 3% of their basic TRCA.
