Completed This is Not a Book Flip Through (PART 1)

Hey! So this is a final flip through for my second completed Keri Smith book!!

WHAT IS THIS?:
If you don't know what "This is Not a Book" is about, I will go ahead and explain it. "This is Not a Book" is a book (for lack of a better term) by an author called Keri Smith (creator of Wreck This Journal). You can buy it at any Barnes and Noble, Borders, Walmart or Target, OR my favorite, AMAZON.COM. It is basically an activity book that gives you a different prompt on every page. The whole concept is that you are creating something more than just a book (an experience, an artwork, memories etc.)

THE RULES:
Unlike the "Wreck This Journal", the instructions do not tell you that you must follow the directions on every page. In fact, the introduction says that if you do not like something in the book, you can remove it or change it. I took advantage of this for about 4 pages, but for the most part I just followed the prompts. This is NOT about wrecking or destroying, it is really about creativity.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT:
I loved this book as much or more than the "Wreck This Journal." I thought it was super entertaining. It IS a lot more demanding that the "Wreck This Journal." What I mean is, the prompts a lot of times REQUIRE you to be creative. It is not as easy as "Rub Dirt on This Page", but more like "Invent Your Own Planet." I think this might be why it is not as popular as the "Wreck This Journal." It does cater more to creative people, while the "Wreck This Journal" is really for everyone.

CONS:
1.) The pages are VERY thin. Not as thick as the "Wreck This Journal." Soo, markers, paints or any water based medium are out of the question (unless you don't mind bleeding through pages). However, I did get used to this and just stuck with pens and colored pencils mainly...it wasn't too bad ;).

2.) There are a lot of pages that involve cutting out. I had to get a little creative in order to have something nice looking in the end, instead of just a book full of empty, cut up pages.

3.) You have to be creative! While this was fun for me, I can see how it may get annoying or a little boring for others.
