Are web designers going to be obsolete someday?

I hear it almost once a week now.

Someone looked at getting into web design but decided there wasn’t much of a future in it.

Why?

Because of new technologies and all the dang drag & drop website builders like Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, etc.

People imagine a world where pretty soon all you’ll have to do is fill out a little survey and out pops an award-winning website.

BUT NOT SO FAST.

I believe web design is here to stay. Or else I've made a bad decision on a podcast title.

I even think that the demand for web designers is going to increase!

But, I don't think web designers are immune from the impact of new technologies. If you're not careful you might in fact find yourself obsolete as a web designer.

So, here are 7 things you can do to stay around for a long long time.
