IT STARTED WITH SWAP SHOP - 2006

A look back at 30 years of Saturday morning British TV for kids & hung-over students, proving that nothing beat the original Swap Shop! The later versions of the show feel similar to the later episodes of Top Of The Pops...totally missing the magic of the original format. Maybe I'm just showing my age, but Andi Peters was no Noel Edmonds! Still, he ticked the right boxes with the PC Brigade at Children's BBC, I'm sure, and with one particularly ghastly man I once had the displeasure of meeting...who shall remain nameless, but from what I recall was the "creator" and operator of Gordon the Gopher. Anyway, sit back, enjoy the nostalgia, and weep over the car crash that Aunty Beeb turned it into.
