Statewide Water Education Action Plan (SWEAP) Informational Webinar 6.26.18
Water Education Colorado recently received a grant from the Colorado Water Conservation Board to develop a Statewide Water Education Action Plan. The plan will be developed in consultation with local partners from around the state in order to fulfill Goal 2 of Colorado Water Plan Ch. 9.5: “Create a Data-Based Water Education Plan.”
The intent of the plan is not to supercede or overshadow important work already being done across the state, but rather to identify strategies to amplify and support local activities, to cross-pollinate educational messages and outreach activities from different geographic areas, as well as to fill in gaps in education where they exist. Our objective is to create a common vision and strategy for coordinating efforts and implementing effective water education. At this point, we are in the beginning stages of this process and we want your input!
Join Water Education Colorado on June 26 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm to learn about our tentative timeline for gathering stakeholder feedback and developing the plan. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns and get involved in this process. Can’t make the webinar? Sign up anyway and you will receive a link to the recording as well as additional steps to take if you would like to be involved in these conversations.
