The Land Of Milk & Honey!? Setting Up A New Apiary At An Agricultural College!

In this video were setting up a new Apiary at an agricultural college in the Towy Valley, Gelli Aur College.

This is a Agri campus that teaches students Farming and or Countryside subjects. This place has a special place in my hart as its where I went to College to learn countryside management.

A little bit about this farm. Its one of the biggest dairy farms in the county.

The College farms 344 hectares in the fertile Tywi Valley. The focus of the Gelli Aur farm is to produce milk from grass. There are 500 milking cows split into two herds. There is also a small beef enterprise and a flock of breeding ewes.

Gelli Aur is also home to the Agricultural Research Centre, which aims to facilitate the development of Welsh agricultural industry through proactive technology transfer, and the provision of specialist advice.

Is the Towy Valley truly the land of milk and honey!? We will find out this year!!
