The Story of an Island
Last winter an unexpected invitation led freediver and spearfisher Kimi Werner to Isla Robinson Crusoe, a remote outpost 400 miles off the Chilean coast. Sharing experiences with new friends both in and out of the water, Kimi was welcomed into a resilient community still recovering from the devastating tsunami of 2010. The island’s residents are learning that connecting with nature means connecting with each other—and that’s often the best way to get back on our feet again.
