Summary: In this panel on WLW fan fiction — from reading ‘just one more chapter’ until four a.m to re-writing dominant narratives that don’t represent us or give us the happy endings we deserve, we will be taking our participants through the magical not-so-mystery tour of our communities’ fan fictions and beyond. How do we as writers get into the headspace of our most beloved characters? How do we as readers seek and form community amidst media that would rather erase us? And how do our stories affect the world outside the fan fiction community? We’ll explore these issues and more before opening space for an audience-driven Q&A.
