Palace of Versailles | The Queen’s Quarters
Several rooms made up the queen’s apartments at Versailles: a bedchamber, nobles’ room, Royal table antechamber, guard room, gilded room, méridienne room, library, billiard room, water closet, and toilette room. Each queen to occupy these spaces tailored the rooms to their liking. Their current appearance reflects the alterations made by their last occupant, Marie Antoinette.
