Hauling Corn from the Field to the Silo
In this video, I help a buddy of mine get his corn out of the field. It was my first time pulling a grain hopper and hauling corn out of the field. The corn was a lot heavier than I thought it would be. But, we got it done. Now, I understand why agriculture haulers get weight exemptions and special hauling permits. My lightest load was a little over 27 tons, the heaviest was a little over 30 tons. Fortunately, the silos were only about 15 miles away and all the roads were state roads, so my overweight permits were valid. I got out 4 loads on day one and 5 loads on day two.
