Starting off as a short term project for manga author Monkey Punch, it eventually turned into a very popular series, loved by mutiple generations of fans. Today we're gonna be going back in time, and take a look at the history of Lupin III, and learn more about this gentleman thief. From the humble beginnings, and all the way up until today. And by looking at Lupin from past to present, we are gonna try and figure out what it is that makes this series work, and why it's been able to remain relevant for more than 50 years. As well as take a closer look at what Lupin's jacket color actually means for the series. The history of Lupin III is storied and contains a lot of changes over the years that are very interesting.
