Couple Falling In The River

During one of our hikes, we came across this fallen tree that went across a river. My boyfriend wanted to cross using a stick for balance. I told him no. The log was close to the water so it’s wet and slippery. The current was a bit strong as well it could push his stick. While I was yelling at him this couple heading out was were laughing at our conversation. So we moved along. I had a feeling they’re going to try the log so when we got farther I looked back and saw them do it. The guy got across with 2 sticks fairly well. The girl tried to follow with 1 stick but lost it. The guy then tried to go back for her but fell into the water before he even got to the middle. The girl then slowly stooped down and fell in whole body. Luckily the water wasn’t that deep and the both survived. But they were soaked jacket, backpack, and all. It wasn’t the warmest weather either we were sitting at single digits and the water was freezing cold. Hopefully they were ok though. But I’m pretty sure they heard my laugh. I’m sorry. But thanks for the laugh!😂🤣😂
