Both formulas calculate total revenue while ignoring filters. So, if you have a slicer or filter on your report, these measures will show the grand total, not just the filtered value.
But here’s the twist:
ALL() does more than just remove filters. It can return all rows or values in a column, which is super useful for things like calculating “percent of grand total” or ranking. It’s also used in advanced scenarios, like ignoring filters on just one column or enabling special calculations.
REMOVEFILTERS(), on the other hand, simply clears filters—nothing more, nothing less.
So, for most simple cases, they work the same. But if you need advanced calculations, ALL() is your go-to!
