The Elite Four Rematch We Deserve | Pokemon Animation

Imagine seeing the Elite Four again, but the rematch is more of an encore than an actual battle...
Watch until the end of the video for a little surprise!

I like to think that we don't see Rika or Poppy in the post-game because they were busy practicing for this performance.

The Clodsires (including both shinies) are finally back to make some more music after going on a nice vacation!

If you want to see how their vacation went, watch the prequel to this video here: https://youtu.be/kkozHsZ8yzM
Read on for some fun headcanon background info on this video!

Rika plays the trumpet here so that she can have the epic trumpet solo in this song.

I think Poppy would not only be a child prodigy when it comes to Pokemon battles, but in playing instruments too. Since she's a Steel-type specialist, it only makes sense she likes to play heavy metal music. Here, she uses an electric guitar (despite not specializing in electric types).

Poppy taught some Woopers how to play the electric guitar too. The Paldean Woopers can play electric guitars the same way they can learn ice punch.
She also taught the Tinkatink line how to play percussion instruments. Tinkatink's hammer is a baby rattle here.
Tinkatuff is playing the drums off-camera.

Hassel's dragon Pokemon aren't on camera because they're the ones filming the video. Professor Gible helped direct the video and is henceforth known as "Director Gible" here.

Hassel and Larry were too busy with their other jobs to join the practices, so they're not part of the performance.

Fun fact: Hassel initially wanted to "make a living with music" before becoming a member of the Elite Four and an art teacher. (He actually says this in the game!)
He's very proud of everyone's work here and is crying tears of joy.

Meanwhile, Larry was just wondering where his Flamigo went.

If you're wondering why there are some shinies it's because I have all the shinies shown in-game! (2 Clodsires, a Paldean Wooper, a Tinkaton, and a Flamigo)

Thanks for reading this far! I hope you enjoyed reading about the lore of this cute little music video!
