George Floyd funeral: Reverend Al Sharpton delivers powerful eulogy for Floyd

The Reverend Al Sharpton delivered a powerful eulogy at the funeral for George Floyd in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, calling for social justice in the United States.

He said Floyd’s death was “not just a tragedy, but a crime.” While delivering the eulogy, Sharpton said that change won’t happen until Black lives are valued the same as white lives, and police are held accountable.

Sharpton also condemned the U.S. President Doanld Trump, saying “we are fighting wickedness in high places,” and added that the “signals” the country is sending are that “if you are in law enforcement, that the law doesn't apply to you.”

Floyd died while in police custody in Minneapolis, Minn. after a police officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes. His death has spurred protests across the globe.
