We should not set our eyes on earthly things, like money, fame or even reaching goals in a game.

But instead we should set our eyes on heavenly things.

We should do the will of the Father which is in heaven, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

James 1 verse 22 says: Be not only hearers of the Word, but also doers of it.

Just as training without disciplin is dead, so is faith without works.

It may be like motivation, oh today im going to do this and that, but at the end of the day even if you have done something, you will be exhausted.

We may say sometimes, I do this and that and we are confident and it's actually good, but when you have motivation, it lasts for a small period of time.

Discipline on the other hand is showing up everyday, and not trying to do more than we can, but rather trying to do what we can and staying consistent.

It's the same with faith.

The Lord Jesus Christ wants our hearts, a relationship and consistency, becouse over time, you will see that what your faith actually is like.

So ask yourself today this:

Am I showing up when it doesn't benefit me?

Or am I showing up just when it benefits me, and when I feel like it.

The truth is that, love is not always feelings, but rather patience.

Faith is not always based on feelings but on consistency.

Seek God and put him first and everything else will come in him timing.

In the almighty name of our Lord God Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us and payed the price for our sins I pray this, Amen.
