Hi everyone! This is Top 3D Shop, and in this video, we will tell you about the Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ FDM 3D printer.

The Plus modification is an upgrade of the Original Prusa i3 MK3S. The main changes in the new version relate primarily to the calibration system and the extruder. In addition, Prusa engineers have enhanced some individual components in the 3D printer’s design. Like previous versions, the new model can be shipped fully assembled, or as a DIY kit requiring manual assembly by the user.

The Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ is an open system FDM printer. The build area of the device is 25 by 21 by 21 centimeters.

Prusa has upgraded the direct drive extruder, reacting to users’ feedback and enhancing the machine's robustness when processing flexible filaments. The built-in filament sensor has also been updated, along with the Bondtech feed mechanism, making the machine more reliable and serviceable.

The maximum heating temperature of the extruder is 300 degrees Celsius, with the layer thickness varying from 50 to 350 microns. The printer comes with a stock nozzle of four tenths of a millimeter.

The maximum heating temperature of the print bed is 120 degrees. Prusa offers three types of magnetized bed coatings, ideal for certain types of plastics.

The Plus modification is equipped with a SuperPINDA sensor, which takes into account the thermal deformation of the surface of the printing platform. A nine-point automatic calibration process is launched before each print, guaranteeing a quality first layer.

The Prusa i3 MK3S+ retained the entire list of functional features of the previous model, including the print recovery system.

Files are rendered using the proprietary multiplatform PrusaSlicer software offering a wide range of tools for working with three-dimensional models.

Among the interesting and practical additional options are a thermal camera and the unique Multi-Material Upgrade 2S system for printing with up to 5 filaments at the same time.
