HONDA MOTORCYCLE FRONT FORK OIL CHANGE DIY

This video may help you if you want to tackle yourself quick and easy way to change front forks oil on most motorcycles. I'll be working in this video on a 2017 Honda Africa Twin CRF100L and show you step by step how to do it.

This job doesn't require any specific tools but a torque wrench is handy to have to get the bolts to the correct torque specification. With few simple tools you can have forks oil changed and be quickly back on the road to Your next adventure. I usually change my fork oil every 2 years depends how much off road during riding season. My forks were upgraded to Hyperpro progressive springs + 20 mm. When I replaced my springs I have also upgraded my seals and dust seals to SKF apparently they are more durable and so far did not have any issues with leaking seals. I also use Shock Socks to protect my forks from stone chips and rocks when riding offroad, just keep in mind to take them off once in a while wash them as dirt can still get in there and cause damage or scratch your forks. Once in awhile I'll pull the dust seals down and clean the forks, check the condition of the forks. All that maintenance will keep your front forks in perfect condition and prevent more serious breakdown on the road.
