Brasstown Bald-Georgia's Highest Mountain
We had a beautiful clear day, and decided to ride up to Brasstown Bald, which is Georgia's highest peak. It has an altitude of 4,784 feet above sea level, and features 360 panoramic views in every direction.
On a clear day, you can see the skyline of Atlanta (80 miles to the south), and back up into the Great Smoky Mountains of NC and TN, as well as into AL and SC. There is also a Visitor Center at the top.
