New Details: Shasta County officials ID 63-year-old killed in Highway 44 crash that injured 4 others

The Shasta County Coroner's Office has identified the man killed in a head-on crash Saturday night on Highway 44 west of Shingletown as 63-year-old Phillip Detrant of Shingletown. The CHP says Detrant was headed east when his car crossed the center line, and the driver and 3 passengers in the oncoming pickup truck had minor to moderate injuries.
