Connect SIM800C to PC via USB TTL UART

The serial baud rate is 9600
Once connected I test it using putty, and entering AT which responds with 'OK',
and ATI which responds with 'sim800 r14.18'
Note that the TTL cable in this video is a 6 Pin FT232RL USB to Serial Adapter Module. It is rated at 3.3V which is not enough to power this module. I now power it using a 5V pin from the Raspberry Pi and it now registers on the GSM network.
