Baby Louis-- A story of a dinosaur egg

It was 89 million years ago, in today’s Xixia Basin, Henan, China. A group of oviraptorsosaur embryos were wrapped in their warm shells, lying quietly in the soft sand and wait- ing to hatch.
In the beginning, time was flowing so slowly that they could hardly wait. After all, the world outside the eggshell was vast. However, a sudden rainstorm smashed away all hope. It fell like a waterfall from the sky. The soil, sand, and rocks of a nearby hill were violently washed away and carried by the rain. Huge waves, dyed dark red by the soil, poured down from the top of the hill, swamping unhindered towards the hatching oviraptorsosaur mother and her eggs…
In 2017, "Baby Louis" finally had its mother's species confirmed—an oviraptor, and a new one as well. The paleontologists gave it a name—Beibeilong sinensis.
