This is our newest dash camera, and the only one providing an astounding 4K resolution at 30 frames per second! Not only will it capture crystal clear recordings of your drive and potential vehicular incidents, it will also log the GPS location as you head down the road, ensuring everyone is kept honest as to how and where an accident occurred. You may wonder, why does it also log GPS? Well, this can be great for keeping track of underage children who have access to the vehicle, or, knock on wood ( look around for some wood ) someone rear-ends your vehicle as they didn't see the school zone, and they try lying to the police after you've moved your vehicle off the main road to protect themselves. Well, they'll have a harder time getting out of that major ticket with your camera footage and GPS location recorded at the time of the incident.

Beyond this added feature, other special abilities include a G-sensor that senses when the vehicle is struck, which would then lock recordings from being overwritten in the event of an accident, and it can store up to 24 hours of 4K footage when used with a 256GB SD card. All the set up takes place on the two inch screen, including setting the record resolution, enabling the date/time stamp, or even tagging a file with a license plate you noticed but you weren't sure the camera captured.

Mounting will be a breeze for any user, as it's a fairly unobtrusive and small unit, so tucking it up high and out of the way on your windshield should be a cinch. It comes with sticky tape to ensure it won't fall off or unstick, like with a suction mount, and the cable is fairly long to allow you to string it along the edges of the windshield and down into your car's power adapter. If the windshield doesn't have very much clearance between it and the headliner of the cab, this unit even comes with these little sticky pads to hold and direct your cable to where it needs to go.

Once plugged in, this dash camera will boot up as soon as the car is turned on with the internal super-capacitor, which it uses instead of a battery, and we like this feature since there is always a possibility of explosion when putting a battery powered device inside a very hot vehicle.
