Ustad Rashid Khan is an Indian classical musician of the Hindustani Classical music tradition. He was born in 1st July 1968 in Badayun, Uttar Pradesh. He belongs to the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana, and is the great-grandson of gharana founder Ustad Inayat Hussain Khan. He received his initial training from his maternal grand-uncle, Ustad Nissar Hussain Khan. He is also the nephew of Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan.
A notable achievement of Ustad Rashid Khan is the infusion of an emotional content into his melodic elaboration.

Raag Bageshri is one of the most jovial and enchanting night Raags. It is the most favoured raag among musicians and listeners. It is a popular raag of late night, which purport to depict the emotions of a woman awaiting for reunion with her beloved. Raag Bageshree leans towards contemplation, pathos, poignancy and yearning.
In Granthas its (Bageshri) name is Vageshwari. It is said to have been first sung by the great 16th century mestro, Mian Tansen, the celebrated court singer of the great Mughal emperor Akbar.
Raag Bageshree belongs to kafi Thaat.
This baithak was held at the initiative of Ved Gupta as a part of Bazm-e- Khas Foundation live concerts.
