Upcycling an old wooden cutting board - a simple decoupage

I sanded the chopping board a little bit ... gessoed and painted it with aclyric paints ... Then tear & cut decoupage rice paper (you can use a tissue paper/ a magazine photo ...ect) & glued the design using mod podge (you can use white glue instead) After it dried I sanded it again to reveal the under paint ...for more tecture I used a stencil to add few extra design ...later I colored the board with a golden metallic color ...then varnished it.
