1993 ALCS (Blue Jays @ White Sox) Game 1 [Jays Capture Game One]

Looking to win back-to-back American League Pennants, the Blue Jays opened the 1993 ALCS with their long-time ace, Juan Guzman on the mound. The White Sox countered with their ace, the soon-to-be-named 1993 AL Cy Young Award Winner, Jack McDowell.

The first third of the game saw zeroes in the score column for both sides, before each team put up a crooked number in the 4th, with Chicago ultimately coming out ahead by a 3-2 score.

In the top of the 5th, led by hits from John Olerud, and Paul Molitor, Toronto regained the lead, which they would not relinquish, going up 1-0 in the best of seven series.
