Washtenaw County's Loren Campbell: Dedicated Pastor, Lawyer & Judge
LOREN W. CAMPBELL - "A Man for All Seasons" - When Judge, former Attorney, and Methodist Minister the late Loren Campbell of Ann Arbor, Michigan was roasted by his colleagues upon his retirement in 1985, a roaster asked Loren, with tongue in cheek, "Loren, have you finally decided in retirement what profession you wish to pursue?" Of note: earlier, when wearing the cleric collar at the Dixboro Methodist Church, he baptized yours truly and later as a probate judge, we were fellow members of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor. This audio interview focuses early on his nearly 10 years at the Dixboro parish which was highlighted by a building program that doubled the size of the church and helped welcome enthusiastic US Military Veterans from WW II back to the hamlet. Dixboro is three miles east of Ann Arbor on Plymouth Road.
