Is your septic system vent blocked??? Clean out your stank pipe!

Hi everyone! The temperature is around zero degrees (F) today, and even colder in the valley. The roof vent of my septic system is freezing over with the little bit of moisture that exhausts out. And it builds up until it clogs fully! At which point some smell backs up into the house. Just a bit of maintenance to clear it out.

Eventually I will try the copper pipe trick to lower a pipe down inside this one, and the warmth will conduct out to the ice build-up and keep it clear. I'll show that next time!
