Dr. Merryl H. Tisch, Chancellor of the Board of Regents, discusses her efforts to provide quality education for all children. Some of her main points include New York State's fiscal spending of 55 billion dollars a year on K through 12th grade education and explaining what exactly these funds are being used for, the recalibration of State tests to align with common course standards, the rebuilding of some of New York State's failing schools, and the Charter School movement.
