Sai Baba devotees v/s Swami Swaroopanand

Enraged over the diktat Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand, devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba along with his idol took a dip in the holy water of Ganga. Swami Swaroopanand has stated that Sai Baba used to call himself a Muslim and asked people to keep him away from Ganga river. The controversy rages over the worship of Saint Sai Baba, as Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand along with other Hindu priests decided not to place Sai Baba's idol next to any Hindu deities. They also slammed Water Resource Minister Uma Bharti for her statement and accused of being a Sai Bhakt and not a Ram Bhakt.
