Serge Gainsbourg's Paris Mansion : Street & Graffiti Artists Pay Homage To The Legendary Singer

Singer-Songwriter, Pianist and Film Composer, Serge Gainsbourg (1928 - 1991) is a legendary French singer, a real Pop icon.

5 bis rue de Verneuil. 75007. Paris.

This is the address of Serge Gainsbourg's Parisian Mansion (an Hôtel Particulier in the very chic 7th / 7ème arrondissement of / de Paris) which still is, 27 years after the death of the Artist, the favorite place of his numerous fans to pay homage to the famous French singer.

Over the years, the Mansion's façade (which was already a playground for Graffiti Artists when Serge Gainsbourg lived in the house), has constantly changed with the inspiration of Gainsbourg’s fans and passers-by.

Periodically, the façade of the Mansion is completely renovated, refurbished, in order to offer a new playground to Street Art Artists and fans. It usually takes a few days. Everyone is then patient. Then the Artists are back...

Nowadays, Serge Gainsbourg's Mansion belongs to his daughter, Charlotte Gainsbourg (Actress, Singer). No one has lived in the house since the death of Serge. And nothing has been moved inside.

The singer's smoked cigarettes are always in the ashtrays. And the sheets on the piano...
