In 1981, a new unique intelligence unit appeared in the KGB of the USSR, which differs from similar military groups within the country's Foreign Intelligence Service. The training was varied and quite specific. The men were taught air training, rock climbing, mining and blasting, basic intelligence and hardship survival tactics, medicine, foreign languages, geography, atomic weapons, and the structure of nuclear reactors. However, the list is not complete. From ordinary people, they made "universal soldiers" in "Vympel". It took about five years and hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to train one specialist.
