Mastering Your Fuji Instax 9 Polaroid Light Settings | IRLRUBYPH

I’m excited to share the results of my Fuji Instax polaroid camera experiment that I’ve been working on for a while.

I was tired of wasting film after the light sensor in the camera often recommended a setting that wasn’t quite right, as well as not being able to confidently pick the right one every time.

I decided to bulk order some film and shoot a huge range of environments and subjects in every possible light setting on the camera to really see what was going on, and understand more about how said settings worked.

I took a photos of different spaces, objects, portraits and full body pictures at morning, afternoon and nighttime in order to capture as many results as possible.

Disclaimer — This experiment was conducted in as controlled an environment as possible, however I can’t guarantee that my "winning" results will work every time. This is just what I found in taking all these shots, and it’s worth using compounded knowledge from different sources to inform your light setting choices when you’re shooting!
