Don't Wear Pants This Long!
Needless to say, there is room for personal preference when it comes to pant length.
That said, for either casual or formal pants, I believe it is best not to wear anything more than a full break, since this will appear baggy.
Similarly, anything less than a clean line, particularly if the pant leg comes above the ankle, will appear as cropped or as "high waters."
Either make your pants look like they don't fit.
