LOCO Method | How to Prep Hair for Protective Styling | Part 1

In this video I show you how I use the LOCO method to prepare my hair for protective styling and long term styling. The LOCO method is the BEST method to use if you want your hair to be moisturized longer without having to refresh your hair in a few days. It’s the LOC method plus sealing in everything with an oil (O), which is a must!! The LOCO method is a great method to use if you want to protective style with a Wig.

LOCO:
L—Liquid: Water or Aloe Vera juice mixture or a Leave-In

O—Oil: a light oil like Jojoba, Grapeseed, Almond, or Coconut Oil (if you’re a fan of Coconut oil) 💅🏽

C—Cream based product or a Leave-In that’s good and heavy enough for moisturizing the hair

O—Oil: a heavier oil than the first oil used like Avocado or Grapeseed oil if you didn’t use Grapeseed oil the first time. If you’re about that Castor Oil life than you can use that as well

So which method do you use 🧐 LOC or LOCO

The next few videos will show you how I refresh my hair and stretch my protective style to last a whole month which means only washing my hair once a month 🤷🏽‍♀️ Of course you don’t have to go a month. I’ve trained my hair to go a month without a wash with no issues for the past 3-4 years!

*In this video, I did not show washing the deep conditioner out my hair but I did rinse it out with cold water to close my hair cuticles.
