How to flip data vertically so that the order is reversed in Microsoft Excel

Inverting data vertically in Excel can be achieved by creating a temporary column next to the column that you want to invert with values that range from 1 to n, where n is the data entries in the column that we want to invert.

Once the temporary column has been constructed, highlight the original column and the new column and navigate to the in-built sort function under the heading 'Data'. If your data set and temporary column has a header, then make sure to select 'My data has headers', from here use the 'sort by' option to select the temporary column and then change the order from highest to lowest. Click ok and your original data set should now be inverted.
