Bottom navigation view | Android studio using java

Bottom navigation is a user interface pattern that provides quick navigation options in mobile apps. It's usually located at the bottom of the screen and consists of a series of icons, text labels, or both. Each destination is represented by an icon and an optional text label. When a bottom navigation icon is tapped, the user is taken to the top-level navigation destination associated with that icon.

Bottom navigation is primarily designed for use on mobile. It's recommended to use bottom navigation bars when an application has three to five top-level destinations.

Bottom navigation bars make it easy for users to explore and switch between top-level views in a single tap. They also make the app ergonomic by bringing important app sections within easy reach on a handheld mobile device.

On larger displays, like desktop, side navigation can achieve a similar effect to bottom navigation.
