Speeding truck blows a tire

A dump truck sped by at 2:48 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 on H2 Freeway, northbound. It blew a tire. No surprise as we were going 60 and it was overtaking traffic, going much faster.

Truck drivers need to be aware that tires under heavy load can fail at higher speeds due to heat buildup and fatigue.

Wasn't able to ID the truck. Just lucky I wasn't in the direct path of all the debris.
