This is the aftermath in Patong Phuket after the virus lockdown restrictions have been lifted and the economy reopens in stages. As you will see closing the economy here in this tourist hotspot has had a devastating effect.

In this video we look around Patong Phuket one of Thailand’s biggest most popular tourist hotspots for many years. I just want to show how things are now and what a terrible affect this has all had.
I sincerely hope we can soon get back on track, as of today 03/05/20 things are now getting back to normal. Shops are open restaurants are open and the most part of the island is back to business all except bars clubs and massage parlours are still unable to open, but for sure this has put many people out of business but let’s hope we can pull together and start the road to recovery.
Once the tourists are allowed to return things will hopefully pick up quickly

This marks the ninth consecutive day that no new infections have been reported and means the total number of people in Phuket officially recognised as infected with the virus since the outbreak began still stands at 227.

The Phuket office of the Public Relations Department of Thailand (PR Phuket) announced through a post on its official Facebook page today that zero people were receiving medical treatment for being infected with the virus. The last patient being treated for COVID-19 was discharged from hospital on Sunday (May 31).
